About the Netherland Dwarf Breed
Weighing in at only 2 lbs, the Netherland Dwarf is the smallest of all rabbit breeds. They have an energetic disposition and love to run and jump- even jumping little 'spritzers' when happy. Well-bred Netherland dwarfs (those bred for good temperament) are friendly and usually don't mind being held, making them excellent pets for both adults and children. They are hardy and, while small, are able to keep up with
reasonable play and handling... (my kids play with ours daily- and the
bunnies keep up with it all!). They come in an array of colors- chocolate, lilac, blue, black, white, opal, lynx, orange, cinnamon, chestnut- to name a few! Most Netherland Dwarfs can even be litter box trained- so upkeep is pretty simple. Their little droppings also make superb fertilizer for your garden! It is able to be used immediately, as it will never burn your plants.
